Nova suits buyers who value USB-C charging, a rechargeable battery, a compact body, color display, simplified controls and a dedicated bag for keeping the kit together. Its product page identifies the probe—not the entire device or storage bag—as IPX1-rated.

Responsible listening belongs in every bundle

A home fetal Doppler is for bonding and listening only. It cannot determine fetal well-being, provide a checkup, diagnose a concern or replace prenatal visits, fetal-movement awareness or professional evaluation.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration notes that ultrasound should be used prudently and warns that untrained operation of over-the-counter fetal heartbeat systems can lead to prolonged exposure or incorrect interpretation. In a warning letter dated July 21, 2026, the FDA specifically described the risks of confusing maternal or placental sounds with a fetal heartbeat, creating false reassurance and delaying care.

Keep every listening moment brief and optional. If you do not hear what you expected, stop rather than continuing to search. The absence or presence of a sound at home should never guide a medical decision.

• Contact your maternity care professional promptly about pain, bleeding, fluid leakage, reduced or changed fetal movement, or any other concern.
• Do not use a reassuring sound or displayed number as a reason to wait.
